Allegations of irregularities in building construction and office assistant recruitment at Bhedarganj Municipality in Shariatpur
Anti-Corruption Commission conducted the operation, seized various important documents (ACC)
A 5-member team from the Madaripur-Shariatpur branch of the Anti-Corruption Commission conducted the operation from 11 am to 2 pm on Sunday (April 27).
After the operation, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) said that for a long time, there were allegations of widespread corruption and irregularities in various development projects, building construction, and recruitment examinations of the Bhedarganj Municipality.
Based on these allegations, a six-member team led by Saidur Rahman Apu, Deputy Assistant Director of the ACC's Madaripur-Shariatpur District Office, conducted a raid in Bhedarganj Municipality. During the raid, various information and data were collected from the municipality officials and several important documents were seized.
Saidur Rahman Apu, Deputy Assistant Director of the Madaripur-Shariatpur Integrated District Office of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), said, "Initially, some irregularities were found in the construction of municipal buildings and the office assistant recruitment examination. After verifying the documents, necessary legal action will be taken through a detailed investigation." This campaign in Bhedarganj, like the rest of the country, has been conducted under the zero tolerance policy against corruption.
