Two years ago, a group of students from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) envisioned a bold dream – to launch their own nano satellite into space. At a time when satellite technology remains dominated by developed nations, this initiative by Bangladeshi students marks a courageous and pioneering leap forward.

The journey, however, was far from easy. The high cost of satellite components—with an estimated project expense of around BDT 2 to 3 crores—made the venture nearly impossible at the student level. But the AUST students approached the challenge innovatively, setting out to develop and manufacture key components locally at minimal cost.
