Nitai Roy Chowdhury, a creative child of Mohammadpur, Magura and Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of BNP, was given a civic reception for taking charge of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs.
The reception program was organized on Friday (February 27) afternoon at the historic Government RSK H Institution Model Secondary School premises in Mohammadpur Upazila. Thousands of people from 8 unions of the upazila attended this program organized by the Upazila BNP, its organs and associate organizations.
Nitai Roy Chowdhury was the chief guest at the program presided over by former Upazila BNP convener Maimur Ali Mridha. Magura-1 MP Md. Monowar Hossain Khan. The program was hosted by Upazila Volunteer Party Convener Arifuzzaman Milton and Upazila Jubo Dal Convener Tariqul Islam Tara. District BNP Joint Convener Khan Roknuzzaman, Upazila Muktijoddha Command Council Convener Mohammad Matiur Rahman, District BNP Joint Convener Mithun Roy Chowdhury, Upazila BNP Former President Golam Azam Sabu were also present. Former Upazila Parishad Chairman Jahangir Alam Khan Bachchu, Upazila BNP Former Member Secretary Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Former General Secretary Md. Mizanur Rahman Kabul, Acting Principal SM Yunus Ali, District BNP Member Ashrafuzzaman Rinku, District Krishak Dal President Md. Rubayet Hossain Khan, Upazila Jubo Dal Former General Secretary Md. Mizanur Rahman Mizan.
Before the reception, the Minister was presented with floral greetings and honors by the Mohammadpur Press Club. The club’s president Azizur Rahman Tutul presided over the event, which was moderated by executive member SRA Hannan. The club’s general secretary Md. Masud Rana was present. At the event, the minister called on journalists to do objective journalism without fear and sought their cooperation in the development of the area. At the event, Nitai Roy Chowdhury expressed his firm commitment to work for river dredging and unemployment in Mohammadpur.
He gave a clear message to the leaders and activists, saying, ‘No kind of extortion or terrorism will be tolerated in the area. If anyone uses the party’s identity to commit wrongdoing, he will be brought under strict punishment.’
