Shariatpur Press Club Election Completed: President Abul Hossain, Secretary Nurul Amin Rabin

The Shariatpur Press Club Election-2026 has been completed in a festive and peaceful atmosphere. New leadership has been elected to various positions in this election, which was held under the supervision of the District Information Office and the Office of the Chief Election Commissioner. Md. Abul Hossain Sardar was elected as the President and Md. Nurul Amin Rabin was elected as the General Secretary.

 

In the election held on Tuesday, Md. Abul Hossain Sardar won the post of President by getting 51 votes. His nearest rival Mujibur Rahman Madbar got 31 votes. Besides, Abdul Aziz Peda got 10 votes and Abul Bashar got 6 votes.

 

Md. Nurul Amin Rabin was elected as the General Secretary by getting 58 votes. His nearest rival Borhan Uddin Rabbani got 33 votes and Roknuzzaman Parvez got 8 votes.

 

Md. Habibur Rahman won the first place with 82 votes for the post of Vice President, Md. Shahidul Islam Pilot won the second place with 58 votes and Md. Khalilur Rahman won the third place with 55 votes.

 

S. M. Shakil was elected as Joint General Secretary with 52 votes. Mahbubur Rahman got 28 votes and Nuruzzaman Sheikh got 17 votes.

 

Ashikur Rahman Hridoy won the post of Assistant General Secretary with 49 votes. His rival Firoz Khan got 30 votes and Sultana Akhter got 14 votes.

 

Md. Ishrafil Bepari was elected as Organizing Secretary with 59 votes. His rival Khan Mohammad Shihan got 37 votes.

 

Md. Sogir Hossain won the post of Treasurer with 53 votes. His rival Rajib Hossain Rajan got 42 votes.

 

Md. Jamal Mallick was elected as Publicity and Publication Secretary with 52 votes. Mehedi Hasan got 45 votes for the same position.

 

Md. Manjurul Islam Roni won as Assistant Publicity and Publication Secretary with 58 votes. His rival Abul Kamal Azad got 34 votes.

 

Md. Al-Amin was elected as Office Secretary with 58 votes. Md. Faruk Hossain got 40 votes.

 

Saiful Islami won as Social Welfare Secretary with 53 votes. Salauddin Rupam got 40 votes.

 

Sohel Rana was elected as Legal Secretary with 44 votes. His closest rival Md. Khorshed Alam got 43 votes and Redwan Bin Kibar got 11 votes.

 

Shariful Alam Emon was elected unopposed as the sole candidate for the post of Sports and Cultural Secretary.

 

Md. Mehedi Hasan Alamgir won the post of Religion and Literature Affairs Secretary by getting 37 votes. In the same post, M. B. Kazi Nasir got 29 votes and Md. Jamal Hossain got 32 votes.

 

Ishaq Madbar got 71 votes, Syed Mehedi Hasan got 51 votes and Abdul Barek Bhuiyan got 53 votes for the post of Executive Member. Md. Miraj Sikder and Md. Saiful Islam Dhali were jointly elected by getting 50 votes.

 

In addition, Md. Palash Khan received 30 votes, Asaduzzaman Jewel 28 votes, Shahriar Ahsan Bipul 46 votes and Rocky Ahmed 32 votes.
