Expatriate lawyers have broadcasted news in protest of the ownership of Shariapur’s Nia Upazila local parliament member Shafiqur Rahman Kiron. The news is being broadcast in the upazila every morning.
Expatriate leaders and activists from different countries participated in the news release. They complained that in a current exchange of views, MP Shur Rahman Kiron commented – expatriates will not be able to vote in the parliament, municipality and upazila elections. They called it unconstitutional and discriminatory and strongly protested.
The news was given by a local vice-president of Easy Bolza city, Manjikar Bepari. He said, “We are providing important benefits to the country’s economy and development from abroad.
Italian organizer Ujjal Khalifa and Shariatpur Samiti, Italian parliament vice-president Nazrul Bepari were present at the time. They said that according to the constitution, all citizens of the country have rights. There is no opportunity for expatriates to participate.
Ujjal Khalifa said, “Such comments against expatriates are unwelcome. We strongly condemn and protest against it.
The speakers should quickly respond to such comments and opinions.
