BNP wins two seats in Magura by a huge margin.

The candidate of the paddy sheaf party has won both parliamentary seats in Magura district by a huge margin. The results announced after the voting in a festive and peaceful atmosphere show that Md. Monowar Hossain Khan has been unofficially elected in Magura-1 and Advocate Nitai Roy Chowdhury in Magura-2. The spontaneous participation of the voters and the victory of these two heavyweight candidates in the public opinion indicate a new political equation across the district.

 

An analysis of the results of all 156 centers in Magura-1 shows that the candidate of the paddy sheaf party, Md. Monowar Hossain Khan, has won with huge public support. He received a total of 1,84,183 votes. His nearest rival, Abdul Matin of the beard symbol, received 83,783 votes. The results show that Monowar Hossain Khan won by a huge margin of 1400 votes over his nearest rival. This huge margin proves that the general voters have confidence in his leadership. On the other hand, the fight in Magura-2 constituency was quite intense. The candidate for 145 Sheesha from this constituency is Advocate Nitai Roy Chowdhury. He got 146,696 votes. His main rival, Professor Mostarshed Billah (MB Baker) with the beard symbol, got 114,999 votes.

 

Although the fight seemed close at the beginning, the veteran lawyer and politician won by a margin of 31,697 votes. An interesting thing comes out of the results! That is, Nitai Roy Chowdhury, the candidate for Sheesha in his own upazila, Mohammadpur, was behind by 3,939 votes, but in the end he won by a huge margin in the votes of four unions of Magura Sadar and Shalikha Upazila. On the other hand, MB Baker, the candidate with the scale symbol in Mohammadpur Upazila, was ahead by 3,939 votes, but ultimately lost by a large margin in his own area and Shalikha Upazila. After the victory was confirmed, the candidates said in their reaction that this victory is not only their personal victory but also that of the people of Magura from all walks of life. They reiterated their promise to work above party and opinion for the development of the area in the coming days.
