
On World Press Freedom Day, emotional tributes were paid to the journalists and Media personnel killed in Various incidents and disasters across the world, including the Palestine Israel war.
Today, on 3 May 2025, on the occasion of the 32nd World Press Freedom Day, A Grand programme was organized in the Auditorium of Satyagraha Research Foundation, Satyagraha Bhawan. On this occasion, while paying tribute to the journalists and Media personnel killed in the Palestine Israel war and various incidents and natural disasters across the world, he said that World Press Freedom Day is dedicated to the importance of journalism and freedom of expression in the context of the current global environmental crisis. A workshop was also organized on this occasion, its topic was “Journalism and Solutions in the Era of Environmental Crisis”. On this occasion, International Peace Ambassador cum Secretary Satyagraha Research Foundation Dr. Ajaz Ahmad Advocate, Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal, Senior Journalist cum Founder Mother Tahira Charitable Trust Dr. Amanul Haque, Dr. Shahnawaz Ali, Dr. Amit Kumar Lohia and Navendu Chaturvedi jointly paid tribute to the journalists and media personnel killed all over the world including Palestine Israel and said that due to war and Conflicts in West Asia including Palestine Israel Ukraine Russia Syria, the lives of Millions of people are facing environmental and Climate Change Crisis. Many Components are falling prey to diseases. The Majority of which are Children girls and women. Climate and biodiversity Crisis are not only affecting the environment and ecosystem, but are also affecting the lives of billions of people around the world. The world has Come to know their stories of war, conflict, turmoil and loss through journalists and Media personnel and it should be shared further. In times of environmental Crisis, it is the moral responsibility of journalists and Media personnel working in the field of journalism to alert the General public, society and governments about the impact of environmental crisis and climate change on human life.
Therefore, the role of journalists is important. It is only through their work, their courage and their perseverance that we can know what is happening on Earth. They are working on the front lines of our collective struggle for the health of our planet and a livable life. On this World Press Freedom Day, let us recognize their work and be a part of their efforts in shaping a better future.
