Anniversary of the Establishment of the historical Red Fort. On this occasion, International Peace Ambassador cum Secretary General Satyagraha Research Foundation Dr. Ajaz Ahmad Advocate, Senior Journalist cum Founder Mother Tahira Charitable Trust Dr. Amanul Haque, Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal, Dr. Amit Kumar Lohia jointly said that the foundation of the historical Red Fort was laid on 29 April 1639. The historical Red Fort was selected as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the year 2007. This building, adorned with magnificent domes, excellent arches and latticed balconies, is a specimen of excellent architecture and unmatched craftsmanship. Its importance in the history of the Country can be gauged from the fact that since independence, every year on 15 August, the Prime Minister of the country addresses the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort. India’s great ruler Emperor Shah Jahan has made an incomparable contribution in the establishment of the historic Red Fort.
