On the occasion of the 95th Anniversary of Dandi March Salt Satyagraha started by the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, A Grand programme was organized in the Auditorium Satyagraha Bhawan of Satyagraha Research Foundation. In which representatives of various social organizations, intellectuals and Students paid tribute to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Kasturba Gandhi and freedom fighters. On this occasion, International Peace Ambassador cum Secretary Satyagraha Research Foundation Dr. Ajaz Ahmad Advocate, Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal, Dr. Amanul Haque, Dr. Shahnawaz Ali, Dr. Amit Kumar Lohia jointly said that on this day 95 years ago on March 12, 1930, Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi participated in the Salt Satyagraha under the leadership of 72 freedom fighters. The Salt March, which took place from March to April 1930, was an act of civil disobedience led by Mahatma Gandhi to protest British rule in the country. Mahatma Gandhi and 72 other freedom fighters from the Sabarmati Ashram started the Dandi March on 12 March 1930 to break the law imposing tax on salt. After marching for 21 days, they reached Dandi on 5 April and broke the law. It was a discriminatory law of the British. Speakers on the occasion said that the principles of truth, non-violence and mutual love started by Mahatma Gandhi and Kasturba Gandhi, public awareness Campaigns against social evils and cultural programs are being organized by Satyagraha Research Foundation, Mother Tahira and various social organizations. In various universities, colleges and schools, various programs are being organized to educate the new generation about many social evils including child marriage, dowry system, child labor, prevention of domestic violence, cross-border human trafficking, etc. Various programs are also organized by famous thinkers of the country and abroad, Gandhi thinkers and various universities. Various programs are being organized by the Department of Art, Culture and Youth. This is the time to remember 1757, the first war of independence of 1857, Mahatma Gandhi, Kasturba Gandhi and freedom fighters, due to their sacrifice India was freed from the atrocities of the British after 200 years of slavery.
