Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal Founder Pragyan Foundation, Dr. Amanul Haq Founder Mother Tahira Charitable Trust, Dr Mahbobur Rahman, Dr. Amit Kumar Lohia, Dr. Shahnawaz Ali, Navindu Chaturvedi and West Champaran Kala Manch Convenor Shaheen Parveen gave the Message of Social Harmony and National unity on the festival of Colours, Holi, and they said that for many Centuries, people of India have been Celebrating the festival of love, Social harmony and National unity together. In the windows of history, the relationship between Sufi saints can be seen at the Dargah of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia in Delhi, where Vasant Utsav and Holi are being Celebrated since the 14th Century. Every year, from Vasant Panchami to Phalgun, there is a Holi of flowers at the Dargah.
The great Sufi Amir Khusro had started Holi at the Dargah of Aulia.
The Holi of flowers was started by Amir Khusro himself. When India’s great Sufi saint Nizamuddin Auliya became so sad in the grief of one of his Nephews that he lost his senses, then the great Sufi Amir Khusro was very upset. One day he saw that some Small Children and water Carriers who went to fetch water from the Yamuna river were returning with yellow Mustard flowers.
Amir Khusro asked, what will happen to this? So they said one flower for God and one flower for love. That is, one flower will be given for worship and the other to the lover. Khusro liked this very much, he too reached Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya with a basket of yellow flowers. He also wrote a poem on Holi.Today is the color of the house of my Khawaja
Today my beloved met me in my Courtyard
Today is the color of the house of my Mother, it is the Color of the house
I have found the pain of Nizamuddin Auliya
Whenever I look around, my Mother is with me, it is the color of the house
I have searched for her in different parts of the country
I liked your color Nizamuddin
Amir Khusro, who is said to be the first poet of Hindi Khadi Boli or Hindavi, had said these lines for his spiritual guru Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya of Delhi. If you want to celebrate the festival of Holi in a Sufi way, then there is nothing better than these. Amir Khusro was a fan of Nizamuddin Auliya, whatever he wrote with his pen, he dedicated it to Nizamuddin. On this auspicious festival of Holi, let us end the anger and hatred sitting inside our hearts and embrace our loved ones.
