Considering the important events in Muslim history associated with Ramadan, the Most prominent among them is the Great Victory of Badr. Under the leadership of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the people who held on to truth won against the Quraysh army, which marked A Decisive Moment against disbelief and falsehood. The victory of Badr took place on Monday morning, the 17th of Ramadan, in the second year after the 2nd Hijri 13 March 624 AD (Migration to Medina). The battlefield was located inon the 17th Badr, which served as a strategic location for Caravans traveling between the Levant and Mecca. The geographical importance of Badr, nestled between Mecca and Medina, makes it a famous market town along the trade routes.
