Huge showdown of rice sheaves in Magura-2 constituency: Crowds of people on the streets.

Magura-2 constituency is now busy with election campaigns focusing on the 13th National Parliament Election and Referendum 2026. A huge election procession and showdown was held in support of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) nominated candidate Advocate Nitai Roy Chowdhury on Monday.

 

On this day, several thousand leaders, activists and supporters of the party’s organ organizations took to the streets in Mohammadpur Upazila Sadar. The procession circled the main roads of Mohammadpur Bazar. Candidate Advocate Nitai Roy Chowdhury was seen riding a truck at the forefront of the procession, encouraging the leaders and activists. At this time, the surroundings were shaken by the slogan of ‘rice sheaves’.

 

​In the presence of Trinamool, processions came from Mohammadpur, Binodpur, Rajapur, Balidia, Nahata, Babukhali, Digha and Palashbaria to participate in the campaign. Along with the leaders and activists, the presence of ordinary voters was also noticeable.

 

​Optimism of leaders and activists:
Top leaders of the organi- zations spoke at the gathering after the procession. They complained that people were deprived of their voting rights for a long time, now the fight to restore that right has begun. The leaders and activists united and expressed strong optimism about a big victory by voting with the paddy sheaf symbol in the upcoming elections on the 12th.
