
Dhaka, 03 April 2025 (Thursday): Bangladesh’s rescue and medical team is continuing its efforts to help the victims of the earthquake in Myanmar. In this context,
the search and rescue team has started rescue operations in the Juba Thiri Township and several buildings in the Naypyidaw area of the capital of Myanmar. In this operation, the local administration and fire service department of Myanmar provided all-round support. In addition, the local people of Myanmar extended a helping hand by providing food and water to the rescue team. Meanwhile, the Bangladeshi medical team has started medical operations at a 50-bed government hospital under construction in the Bala Theiddi area.
It is worth noting that a devastating earthquake struck Myanmar on March 28, 2025. After that, under the direction of the Honorable Chief Advisor to the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, military search and rescue teams and medical teams were sent to Myanmar on March 30 and April 1, 2025 through the Bangladesh Armed Forces.
