A Seerat rally was held in Jajira, Shariatpur, on the occasion of Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH), organized by the Jajira Upazila branch of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. On Wednesday, August 26, the rally began at the Jajira Madrasa ground, marched through various important roads of the upazila, and concluded at the Jajira Madrasa ground.
The rally was presided over by Maulana Ruhul Amin, Amir of Jajira Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami, while Maulana Enamul Khabir, Secretary of the organization, moderated the event. The chief guest was Professor Abdul Rob Hashemi, Amir of Shariatpur District Jamaat-e-Islami.
In his speech, Professor Abdul Rob Hashemi said, “The 12th of Rabi’ al-Awwal marks the arrival of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), the pioneer of universal humanity, Rahmatul-lil-Alamin, Sayyidul Mursalin, a friend of the oppressed and persecuted, and the beloved Habib of Allah Almighty. We want to establish the ideals of the Prophet (PBUH) in this land. In this troubled world, the path brought by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the path that can bring peace to humanity.”
He further said that various ideologies have emerged with the aim of establishing peace in the world, but none has been able to provide lasting peace. The Islam brought by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the only path capable of establishing true peace in the world.
Speaking as a special guest, Sikder Mohammad Mesbah Uddin, the Jamaat-e-Islami-nominated candidate for Jajira Upazila Chairman, said that when the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) preached Islam in Makkah, he faced persecution and attacks. Later, following Allah’s command, he migrated, and after several years, Allah granted him the conquest of Makkah. The lesson we learn from this is that imprisonment, oppression, and persecution may come in life. We must overcome such hardships and continue working in the path of Islam.
In his presidential speech, Maulana Ruhul Amin said, “We must follow the life and teachings of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) in every aspect of our lives. Following his ideals, we must work toward implementing Islamic law in the country.”
Among others present at the Seerat rally were Maulana Masudur Rahman, Secretary of Shariatpur District Jamaat-e-Islami; Shahidul Islam, Joint Secretary of Shariatpur District Jamaat-e-Islami; Jamaat-e-Islami-nominated candidate for Jajira Upazila Chairman, Mesbah Uddin Sikder; Maulana Ruhul Amin, Amir of Jajira Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami; Maulana Enamul Khabir, Secretary; Maulana Tajul Islam Selim; and leaders and activists from various levels of the organization.
