Teenage girl (16), daughter of Md. Nizam Mia of North Birpur, Magura District, was gang-raped on December 9, 2025. Sagar, Sajeeb and Ripon took her to a collapsed building in Hindpara, Rarikhali, under Rajapur Union, Mohammadpur Upazila, Magura District, and raped her in turn. A case was filed at Mohammadpur Police Station in this incident. One accused was arrested in this incident and sent to court (December 22, 2025).

According to police and case sources, the victim, Teenage girl, met the accused Helal alias Sagar through his mobile phone. At some point, they developed a relationship and later, through family and social initiatives, they got married according to Islamic Sharia.

After a few months of marriage, the girl was staying at her father’s house due to a family dispute. The complaint states that on the evening of December 9, the girl was called to Ichakhada Bazar under Magura Sadar Police Station with the lure of starting a family together in Dhaka. From there, she was taken to Rarikhali area of ​​Mohammadpur Upazila. Later, the complaint states that she was gang-raped against her will by threatening her in an abandoned place.

The case also states that an attempt was made to keep the matter secret after the incident. Later, when the victim’s family members told the entire incident, she was rescued through legal process and a case was filed with the police station. Mohammadpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Ashrafuzzaman confirmed the matter and said that a case has been accepted based on the complaint. One accused in the incident was arrested and sent to court on Monday. A drive is underway to arrest the other accused.
