Dr. EAaz Ahmad Advocate, Senior Journalist cum Founder Mother Tahira Charitable Trust Dr. Amanul Haque, Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal, Dr. Amit Kumar Lohia, Dr. Shahnawaz Ali, Navendu Chaturvedi and West Champaran Kala Manch Convenor Shaheen Parveen jointly said that the scheduled international passenger flight operated by Air India to London Gatwick Airport in the United Kingdom on 12 June 2025 at 1:39 pm IST, the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner operating the flight crashed into the hostel block of BJ Medical College in Meghaninagar area of Ahmedabad, about thirty seconds after takeoff. There were 230 passengers and 12 crew members on board the plane. At least 269 people have been reported dead, including 241 on the flight and at least 28 on the ground of the hostel premises. One passenger has been reported to have survived. This is the first fatal accident involving the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The entire Nation is with the affected families in this hour of grief. The Government of India will provide all possible help to the affected families. May God give strength to the families of the affected people to overcome this grief. Aamen
