The International Crimes Tribunal-2 today granted a petition filed by the defence counsel of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) president and former information minister Hasanul Haq Inu, allowing “privileged communication” between him and his lawyer.
The tribunal also deferred the hearing on charge framing against Inu, accused of crimes against humanity, to October 23.”.
A three-member tribunal led by Justice Nozrul Islam Chowdhury passed the orders this afternoon.
During the proceedings at the tribunal, Inu’s lawyer, Nazneen Nahar, has sought eight weeks’ time to read the case documents consist of around 1,700 pages and prepare for the hearing.
