Free fertilizers and seeds have been distributed among small and marginal farmers under the agricultural incentive program in Mohammadpur Upazila of Magura. Fertilizer and mustard seeds were distributed from the Upazila Agriculture Office at 11:30 am on Wednesday at the Upazila Parishad premises.

The inauguration ceremony of the free seeds and chemical fertilizer distribution program among small and marginal farmers under the agricultural incentive program to increase crop production in the Rabi/2025-26 season in the 2025-26 financial year was presided over by Upazila Agriculture Officer Agronomist Md. Abdus Sobahan and Khamarbari Magura’s Additional Deputy Director (Crops) Agronomist Md. Alamgir Hossain were the chief guests. At this time, Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer Md. Shahidul Islam, General Secretary of Press Club Mohammadpur Md. Masud Rana, Senior Vice President Md. Mahamudu Nabi Dablu and other media personnel were present.

Seeds and fertilizers for mustard, lentils, wheat, onion, moong and khesari crops were distributed to 5,695 farmers at the event. Each farmer was given 10 kg of DAP and 10 kg of MOP fertilizer and 1 kg of mustard seeds.

According to the statements of ordinary farmers, it is known that their expenses will be reduced by distributing fertilizers and seeds. Every year, farmers spend a huge amount of money on fertilizers and seeds. From now on, this money will be saved by the farmers.
