The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Bangladesh has issued a statement strongly condemning the continued genocide and gross human rights violations by the Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip.

The statement said that since last month’s unilateral ceasefire violation, Israeli military attacks have killed scores of Palestinians, most of them women and children. This has cut off humanitarian aid from reaching Gaza, leading to a humanitarian catastrophe. Israel has clearly ignored repeated international appeals and instead engaged in increasingly brutal killings.
Bangladesh strongly condemns the indiscriminate aerial bombardment of densely populated civilian areas in Gaza by the Israeli occupation forces in an attempt to carry out ethnic cleansing operations against the unarmed Palestinian population. The Government of Bangladesh calls on Israel to immediately cease all military operations, exercise maximum restraint and fulfill its obligations under international humanitarian law.
Bangladesh appeals to the international community, especially the United Nations, to fulfill its moral and legal responsibilities by implementing an unconditional ceasefire and taking immediate and effective steps to protect the lives of civilians and allow humanitarian aid to reach the besieged Gaza.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Bangladesh reiterates its strong support for all the just rights of the Palestinian people, their right to self-determination, and the establishment of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine on the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The Government of Bangladesh reiterates the need to return to the negotiating platform for lasting peace in the Middle East, which is crucial for regional and global stability. Bangladesh calls on all concerned to commit themselves to the path of diplomacy and dialogue to end the violence and suffering of the Palestinian people.
The Government of Bangladesh is making a more persistent and unequivocal call on the world community to work towards a two-state solution based on international law, UN resolutions, and the aspirations of the Palestinians for peace, dignity, and justice.
